Our aim is to glorify God in all we do. The Christians who belong to the Citrus Park church meet together for regular periods of worship, patterned according to the examples and teaching found in the New Testament. We use these opportunities to strengthen our faith. This enables us to pursue godliness in our individual lives as we seek to let our light shine (Matthew 5:16). We also have a keen interest in telling others about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The church assembles regularly three times a week in order to worship and study the Bible. God is worthy of all praise and desires us to share together in worship that is focused on Him and directed according to what He specifies.
We welcome you to come and join with us in worship to God.
Individual Bible study is important for a Christian (2 Timothy 2:15). In addition, we benefit from our study of the Bible together. We meet for regular Bible study each week on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Our classes are organized into different age groups so all have an opportunity to learn at their level.
If you have a desire to learn about the Bible, we invite you to study with us.
a church - of Christ
Jesus promised to establish His church (Matthew 16:18) and succeeded in doing so (Acts 2:41,47). This is a universal relationship of all who are saved. Those who were saved then joined into a local fellowship in which they organized themselves according to the teaching of the apostles (Acts 2:42; 14:23). These churches, which were of Christ, were not perfect, but they were composed of people who had been saved from their sins and wanted to follow Jesus. Two thousand years later, we are trying to do exactly the same thing.
guided by God's word
We place a premium on God's word. The Bible claims to be the inspired word of God (2 Timothy 3:16,17). It is capable of guiding us into all truth (John 16:12,13). Jesus urged His followers to become HIs disciples by abiding in His teaching (John 8:31,32). If His claims are true, we can follow His teaching and receive freedom from our sins. This is our whole-hearted desire.
seeking the lost
Jesus said that He came to "seek and save the lost" (Luke 19:10). He accomplished His purpose on earth and left His disciples with the task of spreading the message that He is both Lord and Christ (Acts 2:36). The Christians at Citrus Park invite others to come and hear the gospel preached, but we also seek opportunities to tell others about Jesus and His message of salvation.
support of evangelists
The Citrus Park church supports the evangelists who share in teaching and preaching the message of Scripture. In addition, this church has been blessed to have fellowship with gospel preachers in other areas, both in and outside of the United States, who require financial assistance to preach in their location. We currently assist six other gospel preachers who live in other countries.
