Daily Bible Reading (DBR) 2020
GPS - God's Plan of Salvation
This page is designed to promote, encourage and facilitate daily Bible reading for the year 2020. Our goal this year is to focus on Bible chapters that highlight God's Plan of Salvation - a spiritual GPS. They progress from the beginning of the Old Testament to the end of the New Testament.
This particular schedule comes from Mark Roberts, who works with the Westside church of Christ in Irving, TX. He has graciously given us his permission to publish this material and adapt it to our setting.
The complete schedule is available to open or download below. Each month, we will add a supplement for that month's reading schedule. The supplement is designed to help guide us through that month's readings. You may open and download the schedule. If you wish to print it, note that it is 8.5 x 14 - legal size.
There are readings for five days each week, which provides two days to catch up or to read other chapters (preparation for Bible study, etc.). Each daily reading is one chapter (more or less). These are listed at the top..
One audible version of the Bible you may access is at ESV.org. You can go to that site and create a free account. This gives you access to the ESV version of the Bible. Alternatively, or in addition, you may download the ESV app for a tablet or a phone and access the same information. Go to the app store and search for, then download the "ESV Bible" app. It is free. The ESV app makes it possible to listen to an audio version of the reading while you follow along. We have found that helpful. It is available with the app or on the website.
