Daily Bible Reading 2019
This page is designed to promote, encourage and facilitate daily Bible reading for the year 2019. If you would like to take part, the following information will provide you with information in order to access resources that are available for daily Bible reading.
There are a multitude of plans for reading through the Bible. This plan is from the ESV.org site. It is titled the "Through the Bible in a Year" program - one of many. It has both an Old Testament reading each day as well as a New Testament reading. Both are sequential.
The easiest way to view the schedule and keep track of your reading is to go to the ESV.org account and create a free account. This allows you to view the daily Bible reading schedule and gives you access to the ESV version of the Bible.
Alternatively, or in addition, you may download the ESV app for a tablet or a phone and access the same information. Go to the app store and search for, then download the "ESV Bible" app. It is free.
We will also list the reading schedule for each day in advance on the Citrus Park Facebook page. We also plan is to provide helpful information for each day's reading.
Here are a few simple suggestions.
Decide how much of the Bible you read. You can read the New Testament, the Old Testament or both. You can always start with both and then later change to just the Old Testament or just the New Testament.
Find a time of day that suits you. It might change at times, but a habit of reading at a particular time (morning, noon or evening) should make it easier.
The ESV app makes it possible to listen to an audio version of the reading while you follow along. We have found that helpful. It is available with the app or on the website.
